Definition	how hot or cold an object is (degree of hotness)	the amount of thermal energy that is being transferred from a hotter to a colder object (Quantity of hotness)
Factor	depend on speed	depend on mass and speed
SI Unit	Kelvin (K)	Joules (J)

Relationship between them: Heat is transferred from a region of higher temperature to a region of lower temperature.

Note that we always have a wrong concept that “fridge transfers coldness to the food inside.” In fact, heat is transferred from the food to the outside of the fridge.
