LightLight is a form of energy.
Light travels in straight lines called light rays. Light rays always have an arrowhead on it to indicate the direction of light travels. 
Luminous objects: objects that give off light.
Non-luminous objects: objects do not give off light. A light source is required in order for us to see non-luminous objects. Illustration:
