Kelvin ScaleKelvin scale is also known as absolute scale.
Unit: Kelvin (K) Absolute zero (0 K) is the lowest possible temperature that exists in the universe. T in ⁰C = T in K – 273 Note that change in temperature in ⁰C is same as change in temperature in K. This concept is important when doing heat calculation. For example, temperature change from 10 ⁰C to 50 ⁰C, the change in temperature is 40 ⁰C while 10 ⁰C = 283 K and 50 ⁰C = 323 K, so change in temperature is also 40 K. |
